About Christine Robinson

Christine Robinson, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Richmond Gastroenterology Associates. Christine sees patients at the West Creek office in Henrico, Virginia.

She graduated from Virginia Tech (VT), in Blacksburg, with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise, specializing in Dietetics.

Christine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond. From there, she continued her education and graduated with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing.

Christine began her 11-year career as a registered nurse, working in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital in Henrico County. She continued her education and received her MS in Nursing during this time.

Christine became a licensed and board-certified nurse practitioner. She pivoted into a new role, working as an Advanced Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner in the Bon Secours Advanced Heart Failure Center. She provided advanced therapies for heart failure patients, such as inotropes, left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), and workups for heart transplants.

Her interest in gastroenterology began when caring for her heart failure patients. Patients with LVADs often present with associated GI bleeding and iron deficiency anemia, requiring in-depth GI screening. Given her extensive educational and professional background, Christine decided to transition from cardiology to gastroenterology.

“At the end of the day, knowing that I made someone’s life even a little bit better is incredibly rewarding and humbling.”

Christine is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners (VCNP).

A native Virginian, Christine was born and raised in Chesterfield. She enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga, and gardening. When it’s time for a bit of R and R, you can find Christine, her husband, and her two children vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
