We are pleased to welcome Taylor Richardson to Richmond Gastroenterology Associates! A native Virginian, Dr. Richardson hails from Goochland, Virginia. He received undergraduate degrees in history and economics from the University of Virginia.

We are pleased to welcome Taylor Richardson to Richmond Gastroenterology Associates!

A native Virginian, Dr. Richardson hails from Goochland, Virginia. He received undergraduate degrees in history and economics from the University of Virginia.

He continued his studies at the University of Virginia, where he obtained his medical school degree. Dr. Richardson completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee before being selected for a three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

He is interested in a wide variety of digestive diseases including: heartburn/reflux, Barrett’s esophagus, swallowing disorders, peptic ulcer disease, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s), irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea, constipation, liver disease, and colon cancer screening. He is skilled in upper endoscopy, esophageal dilation, colonoscopy, colon polyp removal, and video capsule endoscopy. Dr. Richardson is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Taylor is married to his wife, Anna, who is a practicing dentist in Richmond. He enjoys long distance running, hiking in the mountains, snow skiing, fly fishing, reading American history, and following UVA athletics.
